Why are you still carrying her?

Once there were 2 kungfu learners...one the master and another the student...they were on their way downhill looking for some precious kungfu secret manual...down the hill, across the valley, they reach a stream where they saw a sexy-Angelina-Jolie-look girl..trying to cross the river but couldnt...(of course, she wasnt as great as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider..) so she asked the two macho guys (since they learn kungfu) to carry her across the river...

The student dare not as she's wearing a sexy and revealing outfit...On the other hand, the master, without hesitating, carried the girl and cross the river...When they reached the other side of the river, he put down the girl and they continued their journey...

Along the way, the student felt very uncomfortable with what happened earlier and he couldnt get over the thought of the master carrying the sexy girl...Few hours later..he finally beh-tahan and asked his master "Master...why would you carry that girl...it's just doesnt feel right..."...The master kept quiet and didnt answer...

The student couldnt understand and still feel confused...Another few hours passed...as they were stopping for a break, the student asked again..."master master...why and how could you carry that girl just now??"...the master looked at him...and answered..."i've carried her and put her down for so long already...but why are you still carrying her?"

********************************************************************************

a friend shared this story with me...not sure if you get the meaning...

many times, we are like the student...carrying the burdens of unforgiveness, pain, hurts, frustration...which God has already taken away and replaced with forgiveness and love. How long anymore...do we have to tie ourselves down with these unnecessary weight upon us? When God says He forgives, He really does forgive. But when we ask for forgiveness from Him, do we let Him forgive us?...most of the time, it is ourselves that build the complicated spider web and trap ourselves in it...

If this speaks to you, then its time to get out of it and move on...
